To me, fasting definitely doesn't mean not drinking water. Hell, if you don't drink (lots of) water and maybe tea then I'd say you don't really get any of the potentially useful effects of it. Anyway, so they were claiming I failed because I drank water during the day. Not like I would've agreed to do it at all if they'd told me that drinking water would be against the rules.
