As a general rule she gets "special treatment". Meaning - among other things - that she's flitting through the store in such a self-important way that a lot of customers think she's the boss. She continuously ignores direct orders, and the worst consequence she faces is a "You'll just do what you want anyway" from the boss. As you might be aware, there's an informal and a formal way to address ppl in German. A few months ago she started using the informal address with the boss. He uses the formal one... Yes and no.
