Sometimes, life is stranger than fiction
My dear audience. I know I have neglected you.
But this will make up for it.
I have just returned from a shopping trip to the nearest place you can call a city without blushing too much.
About halfway between there and here I passed a car accident.
One car was standing in the middle of the road, facing me, with a severely mutilated left front. Small bits and pieces of the car seemed to be littering my lane. But that I only saw after I had already passed the car.
On the other side of the road two cars were parked on the shoulder of the road. I couldn’t see if they had any damages as well.
One person was standing on the passenger side of the car in the road, presumably talking to its passengers. I couldn’t see all of the passengers, but I did see the driver when passing the car.
By now you must be wondering why I am telling you this.
Well….
…. that’s why:
The driver was wearing the Scream mask. You know, the horror movie?
Yeah.
Update (11/29):
I told my colleagues about the accident.
And our youngest told me that she and her sister had been driving the same route about two weeks ago…. when she glimpsed into the mirror on the passenger side and saw a giant bunny sitting in the car behind them. She told her sister to check the mirror, and the sister got quite a shock: the bunny was sitting beside…. guess who.
Yeah, someone with the mask from “Scream” on.
Seems like driving along that road in masks was a little hobby of them….

Almost sounds like an urban myth in the making! How very very weird, that.

Off topic. Welcome back!

Hi Mel,
That accident and the mask sound pretty weird! You might want to avoid that road for a while.
So, is there any good or interesting news from your village, backyard, or green house you would like to share with us?

It’s one of the few roads out of this village, lol.
Am actually gonna use it first one way and then the other this very afternoon/evening.
What I find very weird is that I have been checking the police press releases online, and there’s just about any small accident and fumbled break-in, but no word of this accident.
News, hah, dunno.

…and now to something completely different:
We wish you a merry Christmas,
we wish you a merry Christmas.
We wish you a merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year!
